    Hugo (review)

warning: May contain spoilers or in this case, this warning does not apply. because this movie is 2 year old now.

    Rated: 9/10
    Plot:
This story is about an orphaned boy who has an amazing talent in clockworks. But once orphaned, his uncle took him into the train stationed and made him an apprentice. Staying in the walls of the station, he maintain the clocks there. His late father left him a broken automaton (a type of machine that does what a human can do like dance, walk, write and even draw).
Hugo, his father, and the automaton
The automaton was the key to a secret into a legendary movie maker's life and Hugo would be the hero of that movie maker, saving his passion for movies.

    What i think:
This is a totally inspirational movie.
This is like a children's movie for adults.
A grown up fairytail ! (fail)

It just somehow feels magical, as if Hugo is a magical child.
Being so young, Hugo has taught me one very important thing.
That important thing is that the world is like a machine, and like every gear part, each person has a function.
This totally made me feel as if I have a purpose in life, just haven't found it yet. (Yes, i'm a lost child)
    <3 p="p">
This movie is bloody good !

Maybe I should be a clockmaker. A badass one.

    The story:
The story is not even close to predictable, something i totally admire.
It is inspirational with a tinge of mischief.
I cried like twice watching it because I actually felt the pain Hugo has to go through.
Such amazing persecution of the movie by the academy award winning director, Martin Scorsese.

    But !
I do feel a little annoyance whenever the chasing scene between hugo and the inspector comes up.
Too long i feel, too long.

The props, background, and everything along with it:
The props and the background used are definitely very vintage-y like.
It is also something I totally appreciate as it fits the timeline of the movie and I'm a big fan of vintage.
    The props?
    I would say it's okay.
but the automaton is definitely an amazing one.
It creeped the hell out of me.
LOOK ! How is it not creepy? D:
    The characters and actors:
    The characters were well made.
Indeed, each and every character in the movie has a role to play and each has their own story and personality.
Totally different compared to action movies or modern movies nowadays.
They have characters that pop up for that one scene and disappears the next without having a true cause.
Like Rebecca Black singing Friday all over again.
But in Hugo, all is goood.

    As for the actor performances,
    Kudos to Asa butterfield (Hugo).
As a kid, his acting was believable and enough to make me cry.
    I would say, YES ! HIGH 5 !

    Overall:
    I would say, it's a good movie.
And when I say it's a good movie,
    I MEAN IT.
    WATCH IT.

"For all the wizardry on display, Hugo often feels like a film about magic instead of a magical film..."  - David Edelstein

    n. the awareness of the smallness of your perspective, by which you couldn’t possibly draw any meaningful conclusions at all, about the world or the past or the complexities of culture, because although your life is an epic and unrepeatable anecdote, it still only has a sample size of one, and may end up being the control for a much wilder experiment happening in the next room.

    The person behind this blog

She is a 21 year-old awkwardly enthusiastic individual who loves the idea of photography and is constantly looking for opportunities to travel around the world.

She loves lounging the around the house watching TV shows and movies in her pajamas while sipping tea (English breakfast is the way to go).

If you wish to make her happy, buy her candy, but do not lure her into dark alleys with those. Also, she finds it stupid to refer to herself as a third person.
