A Guardian Angel

As I sat there alone in the dark, a guy walked towards me and handed me a lamp then continued his journey. I thanked him and he turned to look at me.
He said "My child, it's time for you to move away from that dark and sad spot."
I looked at him with curiosity and asked, "Do I know you, sir?"

He gave me a warm smile and pointed towards a light in the far distance.
Then, he said "My child, it's time for you to move on with your journey alone, walk on the road on the left, walk no matter what happens and never stop walking until you find happiness."
I stared blankly at the road and asked him why.
He said life is difficult but it is also very simple. All I need is my determination, courage, and wit. As I go, I must touch hearts.

There I stood still wondering who he is.
He burst into laughters when he saw my face.
"My child, I am your guardian and you are my treasure, never forget that I am always here for you no matter what."

As he said that, he was moving further and further away from me.
I chased after him, but it was useless.
He just kept going further until he totally disappeared.

OUCH!

There I lay, on the floor. I must have fell off the bed.
Then, I realised everything was just a dream.

When I went out for breakfast, my mom told me that my father had already passed away moments after I slept.
He suffered from a heart attack and left us in tears.
He was a great father.
Only then, I realised that my dream was a message sent by my father just before he continue his journey into the other world.
I broke down in tears and shouted,

DADDY, I LOVE YOU!
