• The transcript of everything in my mind

    Home-made wax and process

I have been dying to try waxing for ages now.
I would say that i'm basically born hairy. haha.

    Something which i couldn't help.
So most of my life, My skin has never felt smooth nor silky before.
Until a year ago, hair removal suddenly came into my mind.

I've tried hair removal cream which you can find in pharmacies.
Long story short, it didn't work. I was pretty pissed off lah.
It wasn't cheap you know !
That tube finally ended up somewhere in my mountain high pile of junk, M.I.A. since 2011

I gave up for a few month and almost forgot about the whole hair removal thing until my friend introduced me to waxing.
Hehehe. Was excited because she told me that I could make my own hot wax.

So here's the recipe for home made hot sugar wax:
    (It tastes good too !)

    Ingredients
    2 cups sugar
    ¼ cup water
    ¼ cup lemon juice

Pour the sugar, water and lemon juice in a saucepan, and heat it over a low flame.
Keep stirring the mixture until all the sugar has melted, and you have a thick brown liquid. Let it cool slightly.
    * make sure it's not too runny nor burnt. It has to take on the consistency and colour of honey.

    Waxing technique

Test the temperature before applying the wax to your skin. It should be hot, but not scalding, or you can burn yourself.
Once the wax has cooled slightly, test it on your finger.
Blow on it to cool it with your breath and apply it to your skin with a butter knife, in the direction of hair growth.
Place a clean cotton cloth strip on the wax and yank it against the direction of hair growth.

Wipe the area clean with a cold cloth after you've finished waxing.
You could also apply ice to the waxed area, to close and tighten pores.
You may notice that your skin has turned red, or that you have tiny bumps on the skin immediately after waxing.
This is a normal reaction, and the redness and bumps should disappear within an hour.
Applying a moisturizer or soothing lotion will help.

The results were extremely good. My legs are totally clean and smooth.
Leg waxing is not that painful. Well, it is painful but it's extremely bearable.

No, you're not gonna be screaming like this

If you were to wax anywhere around your bikini area, prepare to extreme pain.
It took me a pretty long time to cover my entire leg.
    Probably because i'm an amateur.
But hey ! You might be amazing at it. ;D

If you require more information, google is always available. Haha.
I can't provide a website because there's many websites out there that provide waxing techniques.
Even painless ones ! Or so I heard.

After waxing, there maybe ingrown hairs.
If that happens, exfoliating and scrubbing daily would help to reduce it.

    n. the awareness of the smallness of your perspective, by which you couldn’t possibly draw any meaningful conclusions at all, about the world or the past or the complexities of culture, because although your life is an epic and unrepeatable anecdote, it still only has a sample size of one, and may end up being the control for a much wilder experiment happening in the next room.

    The person behind this blog

She is a 21 year-old awkwardly enthusiastic individual who loves the idea of photography and is constantly looking for opportunities to travel around the world.

She loves lounging the around the house watching TV shows and movies in her pajamas while sipping tea (English breakfast is the way to go).

If you wish to make her happy, buy her candy, but do not lure her into dark alleys with those. Also, she finds it stupid to refer to herself as a third person.
