    Birthday Week !

30th of August is my birthday.

I've decided to take out a week to celebrate my birthday with people that I love !
Unknowingly and unexpectedly, I was given multiple pleasant surprises.

FIRST was from Nuffnang. This was totally unexpected.
This happened because of my extreme boredom.
I tried commenting on the Nuffnang page to hopefully win a  pair of tickets to a movie.
Mana tau, I won. Mana tau, the movie was on my birthday week !
    How fortunate am I?
Okay, to some of you guys it may seem as if it's nothing.
But I have never really won anything before without trying hard.
SO, to get free movie passes just by commenting is like totally AMAZING for me lor. hahah !

The e-mail I got notifying that I've got the tickets

The ticket itself (collected before the movie)

SECOND happened on my birthday itself.
I went out for breakfast with Vincent.
Expecting nothing much from him, I basically woke up just to have breakfast with him and go home after that.
When he handed me a present, I was caught off guard.
    I went literally speechless.
I opened the gift infront of him to let him savour is joy of seeing my reactions. wtf LOL.
Once I opened it, my speechlessness went off the charts !
Jaw dropped, I repeatedly said thank you. D:
    Guess what ?
He gave me something i've secretly envied other people for having a polaroid camera as my birthday present. How sweet !

Here's the boxes and my first polaroid picture
(which is apparently creepy enough to scare myself)

THIRD was an unexpected celebration from an unexpected bunch of people.
Okay, so on my birthday there was a general meeting for HELPWorldMentalHealthDay
I've been contemplating on whether to go or not since you know, it's my birthday.
But oh well, decided that the meeting was more important than me celebrating my birthday. HAHA !
Reached there and people started wishing me.
I was already very happy that they cared.
I've met them for not very long only okay (less than a year) and they remembered ! Where do you find such nice people?

Here's a big ass heart for you guys to show my love ! (it's not even enough)

If any of the awesome WMHD people who celebrated with me is reading this, THANK YOU so much.
Thank you Desmond and Johnson for that slice of cake. *burp*
Although I may not seem happy enough that day, but hey, inside I was crying (tears of joy of course!).

Those who said that my decision to go for meeting on my birthday is wrong, you suck. Being the birthday girl doesn't make me the king of the world. Heck, even the king work on his birthday !

FOURTH was a present given by my high school friends which I would call "kaki".
They were the friends who would be there for you, whenever you wanna go yumcha.
That night, they randomly hosted a bbq party just to gather the close ones.
I was expecting FOOD (obviously) and nothing else.
Who would have known that they would give me something that totally stunned me?

    They gave me a necklace.
    Not just any necklace.
    A Risis necklace (rhodium).
The necklace is shaped into an Orchid, the national flower of Singapore.
An orchid because Risis is originated from Singapore. haha !
They wanted to preserve the beauty of the Orchid and so they discovered that an Orchid can be preserved by plating it with 24k gold.
I was shocked okay ! Thank you Natasha, Suresh, Mun Fai, Ganesh, Kok Keng, Chun Yew, Choon Kei, Nicholas, Che Lim, Asthen ! I am loving the necklace and trust me, i'll take care of it. (:
Now, I shall think of a way to repay you guys.
As for the bbq, I had fun talking to them, catching up and snatching fishballs.

    FIFTH was from Terence
A spontaneous lunch with him, planned in 1 minute, on Facebook chat. AMAZING EH?
While talking to him, I told him that I haven't celebrated my birthday with a cake yet.
And sooooo, He bought me a cake ! AHAH
After such a long time since we last saw each other, he still treats me that good. :')
With that cake, he requested for a picture and my wish !
So nah ! here you go.

    *closes eyes, crosses fingers*
I wish for the well being of my friends and family
    Nothing more. (:

    SIXTH happened today as well.
So, i decided to head out with Jeremy to celebrate my bday.
I was feeling a little down but at the end of the day, I did cheer up. (:
Mostly because of ONE, SINGLE TRUFFLE which i bought
it's my first time eating a truffle and god, it's expensive but heavenly.

It doesn't look good here because of my phone's camera.
    KENOT FOCUS PROPERLY.

Also, I had Korean bbq for dinner. Had their beef and damn, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (I don't even know what that means).
    It was that good. P:

At the end of the day, Jeremy dropped me back home and gave me the one thing that I've wanted for months ! (not original but close enough).

    A cambridge satchel from TYPO.
THANK YOU JEREMY AND MIN SHEN for this !
You won't believe how happy you made me. (:
I'm so happy that falling of a chair would be an underaction

I'm sorry. Lololol. It was so happy that I had to take multiple pictures.
As for the quality, blame my phone.
As for my ugly face, blame my phone as well because I can't see my own face while taking the picture (unlike iphone/samsung/etc.)

Here's one last picture of all the gifts i've got !
Although not many but it came from the sincerest hearts and my bestest buddies.

    n. the awareness of the smallness of your perspective, by which you couldn’t possibly draw any meaningful conclusions at all, about the world or the past or the complexities of culture, because although your life is an epic and unrepeatable anecdote, it still only has a sample size of one, and may end up being the control for a much wilder experiment happening in the next room.

    The person behind this blog

She is a 21 year-old awkwardly enthusiastic individual who loves the idea of photography and is constantly looking for opportunities to travel around the world.

She loves lounging the around the house watching TV shows and movies in her pajamas while sipping tea (English breakfast is the way to go).

If you wish to make her happy, buy her candy, but do not lure her into dark alleys with those. Also, she finds it stupid to refer to herself as a third person.
